It is, nevertheless, still a first flush — some tea grows slower than others, dependent on the cultivar, horticulture and micro-climate.

The taste character is quite different, albeit pleasant, when this tea is infused lightly. To experience its full spectrum, steep the leaves in a well pre-heated high density Yixing pot between 160 ~200 ml at 75~80°C at at least 2 g of leaves to 100 ml of water for 4 to 6 minutes.
