Fresh, soft aroma of the woods after a rain with an undertone of kombu and toasted cereals. Soft, pleasant infusion with hints of salt, baked seaweed and sweet licorice root. Sweet and pleasant aftertaste. This tea is lightly rebaked for better taste balance and shelf life, as in the traditional style. Some Paochong in other shops maybe greener or browner.
A flexible tea. Can be infused for a long time without being overly bitter or astringent. Higher temperature yields better aroma, lower softer body. Suggested temperature 90°C (194°F). Leaf amount can be increased dramatically for silkier texture and sweeter aftertaste.
Huangshan Maofeng green tea is a must-have souvenir when one visits Huangshan. However, even if you know the way to real teashops rather than tourist traps, a pack of such quality as Tea Hong's Cuiyu would come at a high price. That is why this pleasant tasting and slightly sweet baked green tea is a most popular item not only for our retail, but also export. To maintain consistent high quality, we employ only harvest before the lunar almanac demarkation of “guyu” — the first rain for seeding, around early to mid-April. "Yuqian" — before the rain — is the traditional term for this.Net weight: 35 g (1.2 oz) in Kraft-alu packSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSave
A very special tea bush — Camellia sinensis cultivar Shidaye — makes this unique looking tea. Each and every tediously selected pluck is carefully flattened between meshes during the slow baking process. We select only the best of these top grades for the fresh, cooling and cleansing sensations that complete this tea's purpose in addition to being wonderful to look at.Net weight: 40 g (1.4 oz) in Kraft-alu pack
Produced using a Phoenix native cultivar Da Baiye ( i.e. Big White Leaf ), and has certain taste similarity as the rarer Song Cultivar Huangzhi Xiang, this tea is popular amongst traders for use as a substitute for the pricier label. Tea Hong’s top quality selection, Big White is certainly a good demonstration of how this tea can fool the lesser experienced connoisseurs. That said, however, the trained tongue can certainly tell it is a fine tea on its own for the uniqueness in its floral aroma, silky texture and soft, smooth body.Net weight: 40 g (1.4 oz) in Kraft-alu pack
For people who like classic style Phoenix but desire something more mellow than Honey Orchid, Orchid Gratus offers a taste that is as full-bodied. It is balanced with as subtle a warm and slightly sweet aroma. Not only is this a great choice for the veteran tea connoisseur who seeks peace in the cup, but is also a bridge between softer oolongs and the more vibrant world of taste in Fenghuang Dancong.Net weight: 40 g (1.4 oz) in Kraft-alu pack
