  • Shiguping Wulong, rare Phoenix oolong

This tea sits perfectly between most Dancongs and Taiwan’s Baozhong-style tea. Rounder and more creamy than Shuixian Dancongs, yet more fruity and more complex than Baozhong. This tea may taste light but it’s robust round body and that lingering plum note gradually builds up and wins over me, keeping me to infuse longer and longer.

The experience from this tea fulfills my curiosity and I’m at another one step towards understanding the Phoenix tea.

  • Cream Stout, Wuyi yancha oolong

    Very popular tea

    Hello Ming,

I am very sorry that this is sold out again. That is because it is very popular amongst both our retail as well as wholesale users. However, we too did not foresee stock depletion in such speed. We shall talk to the farmer to make more for next spring. Please accept my apology for the disappointment. Siu PB, Customer Services

  • Happiness Gaiwan

So very glad that you enjoy using this gaiwan. Quite a lot of work had gone in to screen all the samples before we finalised on our selections, and this one is a real gem of design in my eyes.

  • Honey Orchid, Phoenix dancong oolong

Now I understand a bit about tea maturity

I have heard about it but this is the first tea that has made me experience the interesting thing about tea maturity. I bought the first pack in 2012 because I had read about Leo’s name in a tea merchant’s catalogue here in Switzerland. It was great taste and good value, but when I opened a second pack that I bought last month, the aroma of the leaves instantly tell me it had already become something else. The sweetness was less obvious but much deeper with a prominent ‘woodsy’ tone. The infusion much deeper and mellow and the taste longer. There is something dancing on the taste buds that I don’t think I can write even in German. Maybe it is music in tea taste.

I am just so disappointed that it is sold out now. I hope the new stock will mature to the same wonders!

  • GABA Orange Extra, de-oxygenised oxidation Taiwan oolong

What a refreshing point you have made! Making tea using a longer duration rather than those popular practice of a few seconds. When I first experienced old style gongfu tea-making in Chaozhou decades ago, this old man moved very fast with his equipment and water, talked fast too (I hardly made out 50% of what he said ), yet he sat there patiently while waiting for tea to brew in his small teapot. I still remember the sensation of the full-flavoured liquor to this day. By the way, the upcoming batch of GABA is going to be a lot more wonderful than this one. — Leo Kwan
