  • Himalayan Finest Flowery, orthodox black tea

    Great Strong Character

I first tried this with 2g in 100mL gaiwan for 5 minutes. The aroma reminds me of traditional style phoenix oolong. In the mouth as well, it has this flowery/fruit-like character, though of course not as prominent as those of oolongs. As I drank, I also found certain similarities with white tea (Zhenghe). Combine them with the strong taste (at this parameter I felt it was a little bit too bitter, perhaps 4.5 minutes would be perfect), you have a tea which will easily impress people who have only tasted low quality tea all their lives. Long aftertaste with tangy citrus feel on your tongue.

  • Honey Orchid Supreme, classic Phoenix dancong oolong

    Deep tea

I am not able to make such good writing to describe this wonderful oolong, but I have to share this : this tea is even more wonderful when brew for a long time! 4 friends came for dinner yesterday but I was out of tea. I have only a tablespoonful of this tea in the bag. I knew I cannot make kung fu style because there were total 7 people too many small for serving like that. So I put all the tealeaves in a big teapot and brew for 8 minutes! I hoped it will be strong enough to taste because so few leaves. It was the most wonderful cup of tea I ever have. All people said same thing. I am so happy to discover this

  • Alishan Guanyin, deep baked Taiwan oolong

This is the best Tie Guan Yin I’ve ever had, made even better by the fact it’s from Alishan.

I searched high and low for another vendor that sold anything similar to this and all of them were over roasted/baked. It was like drinking an ashtray.

This stuff however? Amazing. If I had to pick a tea to drink every day for the rest of my life it would have to be this.

  • Honey Orchid Supreme, classic Phoenix dancong oolong

A True Delight to Taste & Smell Senses!
There are a few teas that truly delight the senses. This is one of them! The tasting notes are varied, blending on top of one another, subtle and yet distinctive.

  • Iron Buddha Supreme, Wuyi yancha oolong

One of my favorite yan cha right now

This tea is a very nice yan cha. It has a good presence of yan yun with a good smokey high fired wuyi fragrance with woodsy tones. The infusion taste is very refreshing as an initial taste, while giving you a sweet after taste that lingers in your mouth. It makes the back of my tongue water, and has nice hui gan. I really like it.

  • Aura of the Night, bouquet Phoenix oolong

When I read this comment the first thing that came to my mind was, “gee this person can really feel my tea, and can put this feelings in such poetic words”. Your imaginary processing of the tea is actually an accurate description of the layers of the taste experience. Much more powerful than the technical framework that I have to abide by in writing the taste profile. And a lot more descriptive than I could using words. I am honoured to be able to connect with such a sensitive being on the other side of the planet, through this humble looking batch of dried leaves. Your presence is a blessing. Thank you.
