Honey Orchid Supreme 2018
I am not able to make such good writing to describe this wonderful oolong, but I have to share this : this tea is even more wonderful when brew for a long time! 4 friends came for dinner yesterday but I was out of tea. I have only a tablespoonful of this tea in the bag. I knew I cannot make kung fu style because there were total 7 people too many small for serving like that. So I put all the tealeaves in a big teapot and brew for 8 minutes! I hoped it will be strong enough to taste because so few leaves. It was the most wonderful cup of tea I ever have. All people said same thing. I am so happy to discover thisAi Han Ngau
Snow Orchid 2020
I imagine if one picks a lovely, rare orchid out of the snow, this tea exactly mirrors that taste. Exotic florals finished by the sensation of a cool breeze circulating your olfactory system. Uplifting.Karen Ager
Taiping Houkui Traditional 2020
Wish I could add pictures here!
The infusion process is already spectacular.
A wineglass with the beautiful fragile green leaves looks stunning!
The sweet bean taste, apricot jam, smooth and silky umami.
And I’m sure you finish it before the bitterness will come.
If you’re not that fast, decant it into another glass 😉Annelies Toussaint
Song Cultivar 2018
Perfume for the palate
Oh, the excitement when the Tea Hong box arrives! Song Cultivar was the first to be sampled after the un-boxing of my second shipment. The dry leaves make music as they tinkle into the gaiwan, blooming into a mass of plump foliage when brewed. The tea is clear and golden brown but tastes like a gray, misty day by a crackling fire. Deep and slightly bitter, it leaves a citrus-like perfume lingering on your palate.Karen Ager
Honey Pearl Pekoe
Heaven Smells Like This
The pearls are a feast for the eyes and nose with their gauzy twirls of jasmine petals around the spheres of dry tea. Once the water has done its work, the eye cannot detect the jasmine anymore but the nose certainly can. Raising the cup of tea, I inhaled a branch of jasmine blossoms before my lips even touched the rim. It left me to wonder if drinking was even necessary, but once the tea hit my palate, the floral experience feels rose up past my palate and into my mind. Undertones of anise to finish. Danger: this tea causes uncontrollable smiling.Karen Ager
Tuocha Squares 2010
Handy Little Squares!
I have had good experience with this tea. If you’re looking for a good quality shu cha that simplifies preperation, this is a great choice – portable, pre-measured and easy to make – perfect for travel or taking to the office.
Each square is 25mm x 25mm x 10mm and come, if I’m not mistaken, 16 per tube (each one is therefore around 3.75g). Each square is individually wrapped in thin decorative paper, sealed with a holographic sticker.
The lot is protected first by a plastic outer bag, which itself comes in a tough cardboard tube. Good protection for a good product. I’d recommend it!Michael Eversberg II
