  • Eight Immortals Wudong, Phoenix dancong oolong

    RE: New batch

    Hello Minh,
Our tea master for Eight Immortals has a special way of curing the tea to make it last longer and improve with time. The tea is actually smoother now than when new.

If yu want to wait till the new batch, it would be available mid to late May the earliest. However sometimes Leo would not buy a tea when he cannot find a good enough quality for that year.

  • Danhu Old Bush Song Cultivar, Phoenix dancong oolong

Indeed, sometimes we want a fragrant tea, sometimes a fruity one, yet some other times things that are a little deeper. There are teas that easily appeal to most people and there are teas that only some will understand. When I was young I could not bear the taste of bitter gourd, but some time somewhere in my adulthood, I suddenly found the taste of bitter gourd amazing. They say it is only after one has learned the bittersweet nature of life that one can appreciate bitter gourd. I think it is the understanding of taste itself.

    Enjoy!

  • Shèmen Dancong Double Baked, Phoenix dancong oolong

Smart use of the tea! We sometimes bring this to the dimsum restaurant for its compatibility that is akin to some of the Wuyi oolongs too!

  • Luan Guapian Supreme, traditional green tea

    Beautiful tea

I don’t have a lot of experience with different kinds of tea, but this one is so different that I want to write about it here. It has a fullest, roundest body and silkiest texture I have ever experienced with tea. I have not expected tea to be like that before and I totally love it!

  • Taiping Houkui Traditional, green tea of shidaye cultivar

Brewed it in a Ball jar

Not as glamorous as using a gaiwan, but when I saw the ice-fire instructions, a Ball jar seemed to be a good choice for these tall tea shards in a vessel that would not crack with heat fluctuation. Strained it into a tall pitcher using a gold tea filter. I can definitely taste the apricot and grass tones. Just lovely.

  • Huangshan Maofeng Supreme, traditional green tea

    Good whole day tea

This is very good whole day tea for me. Put some in my very tall mug with tea leaves container to steep for 5 minutes. Drink 5 times or 6 times each day. Very good taste and good smell. I like it very much.
