Good news for the USA

Before President Trump announced rolling back the tariffs on agricultural products last Friday, we had already set up the shop and processes for all the new paperworks and charging that originally imposed 15%. While charging that tariff is easy, processing it and all the paperworks have been a huge problem. The courier and the Customs have yet to set up a working coordination mechanism. Some of you have had some bad experience on that already. Thanks to the relentless studies and tests that Olivia has been doing, we planned to reopen to the USA the very weekend when we saw the news.

There was an urge to simply delete the setup for the 15% tariff charge and continue our plan, but knowing communication inadequacy of shipping agents and the customs, and their ability to change, the best policy is to wait and test first. Luckily we did.

Anyway, it seems to be safe now to ship to all our users and tea-friends in the US, albeit a little more processing steps and paperworks for us. Please be alerted that from time to time, we may not be able to send your order as timely as before simply because of the increased efforts to do so. There could be an additional work day lapse. Many thanks in advance for understanding.

An Early Black Friday

In case you want some Christmas tea gifts to yourself, your loved ones, or your friends, international airmail parcel cut off time could begin as early as end of November for some countries, and mostly in early December. If you are sending by FedEx, an additional “peak-season” charge will be imposed by all commercial couriers. That is why we are beginning the sale now, for those don’t want to pay that extra fee, and want to receive the parcel before Dec 24th.

We have never offer a storewide 10% discount because our margin is very tight, especially for teaware. Offering true quality at our regular price has not been easy already. We are doing it this time just to see if we can afford to do it again for special occasions in the future.
