We have finally received our relocation inventory! Having endured the hellish procedural drag ridiculously imposed by the shipping company, Tea Hong will be alive again!

Unboxing and reorganising have begun. We are resuming online sales on Nov 29! (Even though my office is still a mess 🥲)

On the same day that our stock was freed from that bureaucratic shipping company, we sent a few small packages to destinations in EU, the UK and the USA, using DHL and Japan Post for testing the smoothness of the operation. The one with the arrow was to EU. Everyone received their packages.

Selling to EU, finally
This includes those of you who are in countries in the European Union!

After all the turmoils with the EU imposed mandatory VAT processing for online shops outside of EU, and the efforts to protest it (remember those posts I wrote and petition against IOSS?), we have to give in so that we can take care of those of you in EU. We have setup for EU VAT now. It’s a lot of work, particularly during this unusual time, but it is very bad of us to have forsaken those of you in EU. Please accept my apologies for the long wait.

For countries outside of EU, VAT or any other tax will NOT be calculated or charged, as before.

|
While we can finally take care of the needs in EU, we are unable to ship within Japan, not just yet. Accurately speaking, we can’t retail imported tea for local consumption in Japan yet. It’s a long story, but eventually we will. Sorry.

And Hong Kong
|
As a teashop homegrown in Hong Kong, now we have to charge shipping to send to Hong Kong. Sorry. I know it sounds insane, but please stay with us. Although we are not setup as a physical shop, but in your next vacation to Japan, do drop by for a cup of tea that I’ll prepare for you, and talk about our hometown Hong Kong, or vacation experiences in Japan, if you prefer.
