Honey Pearl Pekoe & Shipping to the USA
Please accept my apologies for not updating you for such a long time.

Logistics season
There has been a considerable increase in wholesale orders this year and stocking directly from producers for the range we offer is quite demanding. More so since we are now physically in Japan, a far cry from the previous free port of Hong Kong. We are truly grateful to have our old tea maker friends’ faithful support through the search in finding ways to make new routines as efficient as can be.

There have been quite an overwhemimg amount of work nevertheless. I am blessed to have Olivia’s restless input all along to make things happen.

Honey Pearl Pekoe
We have piggybacked a small amount of an exclusive quality of Honey Pearl Pekoe for a few of our selected clients in a recent shipment from China to offer our online users. The tea is now available online again.

Matcha crisis and Japanese tea price hike
The wholesale price for our Japanese line, including those varieties outside of our online products, will have to be adapted to the dramatic rise in price by our current key local producers. The latest wholesale pricelist has been updated on October 27. If you need to update the copy you have, please let us know.
We are working with new tea friends in Japan to widen our sources so that there can choices for both of our consumer and wholesale users. More update will happen soon.
We have been too busy to get to this: change of the online product price of the Japanese line. There is still a struggle to try minimising the price for our users’ benefits while maintaining a sustainable operation. However, a conclusion will happen soon and it is likely to be sometime early in November. Do get what you want now if you want them at the current price.

Shipping to the USA
The chaos at the US border for small commercial parcels has still been an issue for us to find a resolution for. I really hope that the authorities and management of shipping agents wake up to the giant process hurdle under the current situation and patch up what seems to me a simple fine-tunning of their online declaration process.
Despite all the emails we have sent to different parties, no meaningful feedback has happened yet.
For wholesale orders, the situation would be more bearable since we can be incorporating the extra “processing fees” charged by the shipping agent in the invoice and ship as DDP, pre-arranging all the needed declarations. The processing fees would be proportionally much more bearable with wholesale orders.
For customer orders, however, such costs would be unreasonably high. By slightly adapting the online declaration form in either the post office or shipping agent, filing of the required paperworks could be just a simple additional form that can digitally make the whole logistics process nearly as simple as before. Too bad there is always a certain mentality in authorities and giant corporations that tends to disregard realities. Or they have their own set of realities. Or hidden agenda?
Anyway, we will find a way to open up shipping to US addresses for small parcels with as minimal impact to our users as possible. Please give us a little time. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Peace, and happy sipping, Leo Kwan
