Matcha new pricing
New regular offerings in the Japanese line &
15% USA tariff

We have successfully negotiated a not so dramatic rise in price for our matcha offerings. As announced last time, we were totally stunned for the 100% price hike in matcha wholesale price. I said we would negotiate to see if there is some room for not such detrimental price change. We have done that. Although the new price is still much higher than before, it is a bit more bearable. We really have tried our best for you. The new price is now updated in our wholesale price list.

If you have previously expressed a want particularly for matcha for your business, I have written to you individually about it. If I have missed anyone, my apologies. Please let us know.

15% tariff for importing to USA
It seems now unavoidable that even for tea, there is a 15% tariff for imports from Japan to the United States. We shall help as much as we can. If there is a need to seek lower price products to lower the impact of this added cost, please let me know.

If you have not yet given us your tax number for shipping your order, please do so to avoid additional courier handling charge. If you want to do it by DDP (duties paid through us before delivery), please let us know so we can process the tariff in advance for you with the help of the courier to expedite the process.

Partnership through a rough time
Like in our Japanese line, I have squeezed our margin as much as possible to lower the impact on you, similarly on our general line. The impact in cost after relocating here has been minimised in the current pricing. The move to Japan is our decision and we are bearing the consequence.
