Following last week’s release of our new Japanese tea collection, I am presenting you with a new member in the lineup, a very fine sencha produced with the not so commonly employed tea cultivar of Okuyukata. This Kyoto Sencha is produced in Uji in an old fashion style by the multiple award winning team who also made our Uji Gyokuro, led by the respectable Tea Master Kikuoka sensei. It is even organic.

Growing our Japanese collection, with discipline
So there are a total of 9 teas in our Japanese collection now:

Although we wholesale export quite a few more varieties, I am restraining the arrays here so as to maintain a consistency with the overall curation concept on the online shop.

We are not stopping to see more samples and new producers though. My goal is to offer you a comprehensive range of the finest quality of this special region, as we do for all the other renown regions.

Dianhong Classic and Honey Orchid
Our previously sold out great value and yummy black tea, Dianhong Classic, is now restocked with stocks that we have matured well since 2021.
|
|
The previously sold out Honey Orchid, on the other hand, is now replenished with a small batch of my own private reserve so that we don’t have so many sold out items. It was a very small batch I acquired back in 2020 simply for its good taste potential for myself. A little reluctant to let go, now that it has matured so deliciously, but business has to come first before personal indulgence.

As you may have noticed, some of the teas have been sold out for a while now and we really have to wait till next harvest, or the next shipment from Hong Kong. Please accept our apology for the unpreparedness for the sudden surge in demand for these teas.
|
Having said that, we do have quite a few other new tea varieties that I think should have aged enough for release soon. Stay tuned in.
|

|
Shipment for the last major wholesale order of the previous harvest year is done now. We can be full geared in sourcing new teas and launching all those new products waiting in the warehouse.
