Although I only had one full session with it, that Pomelo dancong left a strong impression on me, and I'm looking forward to stocking up on it with my next order. What stood out most was its depth... initially, the flavor profile opened with bright, creamy notes that seemed to billow up off the tongue - very expressive and inviting. By the third or fourth steep, it had developed this remarkable gravity, shifting from flavors on the palate to sensations in the body.
My head felt five pounds heavier, and I could feel my heartbeat in my fingertips. This is no ordinary tea my friend - there's something special going on in these leaves, and I'm excited to explore it in the future. I like dancong that is flavorful, but I love dancong that imparts powerful sensations, and this one in particular really hit the spot for me!
I'd like to think I have high expectations, but you always blow them out of the water. Thank you for sharing a sample of this tea with me.

Unique simply by doing it the old fashioned way
It is also a special one from Tea Hong, simply for an additional old processing step we take which most others skip nowadays — an additional round of baking and resting for the tea. People are not doing such things no matter whether it is the authentic variety or not, top quality or lower ones.

We think for this particular dancong, it is important and the right thing to do.
|
If you want to try it, do so asap. A good batch like this does not come by every year, and the total output size is very small to start with. We couldn’t even get all of it.
