Delayed green tea harvest
The unusually colder weather this year in quite a few major tea origins has resulted in later tea picking this year. For example, in Hangzhou and Huangshan, where two of our most popular green teas, Longjing Spring Equinox and Huangshan Spring Equinox come from, higher quality ones have been picked only starting this week. Sampling has begun but we expect to be tasting a lot more this year in order to maintain quality.
Imitation productions from southern regions, such as those from Guangxi and Sichuan, are less affected.
Please expect the earliest release dates for the year’s premium green teas to start two weeks later the earliest, since it is our practice to rest sufficiently all freshly roasted green teas before release.

Longjing Spring Equinox, which roasting is normally a little more intense, requires at least two weeks of rest before its taste profile is complete and TCM "qi" is balanced

White Tea of Anji, because the rather high altitude of its origin, and much colder this year, is even more delayed.
Usual late harvest green teas, such as Luan Guapian and Taiping Houkui, will have updates later, but current reports indicate unusual delay
