Xianghua First Flush:

The intense and unique bouquety perfume of Tea Hong’s Tieguanyin Floral comes from bioactive substances formed naturally upon proper processing of the young leaves from the Tieguanyin cultivar. Enjoy also its velvety texture and smooth taste upon stronger brewing, when you can steal a few minutes away from the hectics of the day to focus on preparing a nice little cup (or two) for drifting away. Only first flush from young bushes is used for this level of gastronomic excellence.

Taste profile

Seductive aroma of sweet blossoms of creamy sensuality. Accents of honey and lilies, with accents of the woods after spring showers. Velvety texture. Light herbaceous tinkles and extremely light bites of citrus on sides of tongue. Sweet aftertaste.

Infusion tips

While this is a popular selection for use with gongfu infusion approach, please do not steep for less than 30 seconds. 5 to 6 grams of tealeaves is ample for a 150ml gaiwan for tasting the full profile of this wonderful tea using slightly longer infusion time. Start with 45 seconds to gradually work out your own preference. Generally speaking, shorter infusion time using higher leaf to water ratio gives you better aroma, while longer infusion time with less leaves will develop more velvety texture. This particular selection is quite tolerant for bolder experiments.

    實惠香觀音

    好的觀音很多地方都買得到,像這樣芳香好口味的,大概起碼兩三倍的價錢吧?如果tea hong有大粒一點,口味再豐富一點的,價錢再高一點我也會樂意買的。

    Blooming garden

I think this is the most naturally fragrant tea I ever had. Unforgettable aroma. I used a teaspoon of leaves to brew initially for one minute in a 2 cup teapot but filled only to 3/4. Can repeat 5 times and it was still good.
