e a harder time finding better Longjing in Hangzhou - unless you happen to bring Leo with you on a sourcing trip.
This is what Longjing used to taste like - deep, rich, nourishing, like chicken soup for the tea drinker's soul. Strong flavor, clean finish, deep satisfaction. You could try bring Leo with you to Hangzhou, but an extra plane ticket is a lot more expensive than Longjing Traditional Supreme 🙂
These leaves respond very well to pretty much all combinations of time-and-temperature. Cooler temps bring out snow peas, florals, and very smooth undertones of nuts. As the temperature increases, those nutty notes become stronger and eventually - around 180*F - turn into dry-roasted peanut butter and lightly-toasted sesame seeds, with hints of pure dark chocolate (this tea certainly has theobromine in it!)
With cooler temperatures, the texture slides around the palate like a melted marshmallow. It's slippery and chewy. At higher temperatures, the mouthfeel is more pronounced, but the flavors remain intact and there is no bitterness or astringency, even the chocolate-like note evaporates from the palate fast enough to not draw out any moisture and leave behind an impression of dryness.
The aftertaste is on point - it's cleansing, refreshing, and reminiscent of mineral-rich melted snow. I love how clean and invigorating it is, with a mild mouth-watering effect to wrap the experience up beautifully. Show Less

eme, so I think most people who love that tea will also like this one. It has strong notes of honey and some fruity undertones of peaches, orange, and apricots. The first infusions have some woody / mossy notes that remind me of an old forest. In the later infusions this gets replaces by a very pleasant and soft sweetness that gives the tea a very optimistic energy. The Cha Qi of this tea increases concentration while still calming the body.
The aftertaste that remains in the mouth after drinking the tea is probably the best I've had from Pu'er teas. It's sweet and fruity without any dryness or bitterness. It stays in the moth for quite long.
I usually brew this tea in a Sheng-Pu'er-seasoned Zini Yixing clay pot, because the clay thickens and softens the tea even more to enhance the mouth feel. But it also brews very well in porcelain or silver. It has become one of my favorite teas. Show Less

I infused it using gongfu parameters in a gaiwan and the aroma of the infusion was the same sweet one. However it didn't taste like that at all, I got impressions of green tea although a bit faint, and the sweet aftertaste is unlike the creamy sweet aroma. It was really refreshing and light, yet interesting enough because of the long aftertaste and some astringency (I like my tea somewhat astringent because if it is not, I would feel like it is too watery).
And it's true that this tea is easy to infuse, it is difficult to go wrong unless you infuse it for way too long because then it will taste bitter. Really nice to drink all day. Show Less
