Tongmuguan One, traditional black tea
Black teas, Floral Aromas, Fuller Bodies, Neutral-Warm Energy, Tea, Wuyi-shanRare Quality Meizhan Hong Cha
Not many black teas can achieve a smooth and full body. To have a floral, yet warm aroma with spicy sweetness and complexity of dried fruit would be a luxury. Tongmuguan One makes it even better by delivering the whole package with a sophisticated balance and yet subtle uniqueness unfound in its peers. A very limited batch produced in the mecca of xiao zhong gungfu black tea, Tongmuguan, this finely processed leaves of Meizhan is precious not because it is rare, but because it is so demanding to produce to this quality. It is not every year that we can achieve a gem like this. Net weight: 50 g (1.8 oz) in Kraft-alu pack -
Cream Stout, Wuyi yancha oolong
Floral Aromas, Fuller Bodies, Neutral Energy, Oolongs, Tea, Wuyi-shanSilk Finish Aijiao Wulong:
No this is not the beer but 100% pure oolong. Wuyi classic oolongs in general distinguish themselves from other oolongs with a stout, rather immediate and powerful impact. Tea Hong’s Cream Stout differs from the crowd with a soft creamy finish and a light tone of cream that is developed naturally in the tealeaves themselves. This is possible only with a new pedigree of tea cultivar, Aijiao Wulong. We believe you’ll like the oolong much better than the beer, as we do. Net weight: 40 g (1.4 oz) in Kraft-alu pack -
Longjing Traditional Supreme, hand-roasted green tea
Denser Aromas, Fuller Bodies, Green teas, Neutral-Cool Energy, Tea, ZhejiangMastery in wok-roasted green tea
The special taste profile of a classic Longjing demands not only a fine harvest from a genuine pedigree, but also the mastery of hand-roasting the leaves. To attain such a skill takes the willingness to endure years of hard practice*. On top of that, a fine Longjing is perhaps the most sought after tea in its native market that is China, and there are people there that are willing to pay thousands for half a kilo of this tea. As a result, good roasting masters are in high demand. A good master producing with top quality harvests is even more rare. To secure a genuinely high quality is therefore a very challenging task. More so at the accessible price we are offering at. Tea Hong's Longjing Traditional Supreme is a proud representation of the best quality of this precious craft, a taste that would have won nobles and mandarins in their tea competition, and when the Qing Emperor Qianlong was still young and flamboyant, and crazy about this tea. Net weight: 40 g (1.4 oz) in Kraft-alu pillow
Many quality worthy teapots in the market available at great values carry fake artist names. That is because the people who are mastery enough to produce such quality do not want such affordable price to dilute the much higher prices of the products with their real names. Yet they need a constant cash flow. Using alternative names gives them the freedom to sell more and at the same time protection of the artistic status which their authentic signatures represent.
At Tea Hong, we take on a pragmatic approach: whenever we come across great values, whether real name or not, we acquire them to share with our customers. Jin Yan Ping is one such avatar whose work is exceptional value. This pot would be many times the price had the artist put her real name on it.
The easy and yet precise fit of the inset lid highlights the mastery of shape and style of an otherwise common traditional form. The excellent craftsmanship can be seen throughout every aspect of the sculptural piece: from the sensuously undulating roundness of the body down to the perfectly formed lid-bead and the appliqué of the romantic motifs. Hand-built in good zi-ni clay, this is a great long infusion vessel as well as a display-worthy collectible.
Packing: Tea towel pull bag in collector’s case
