It takes persistence and diligence to achieve one’s goal. Some more than others. Born of a poor family in Yixing, Zheng’s life has not been an easy one. Yet his passion for the beautiful clay has fuelled him over 30 years since joining the trade before he could achieve the title as a national master artist. In current day China, an authority recognised title is a lot more important than many other places. Zheng Jun’s appearance maybe rugged, yet his craft is fine, detail and precise. We like his works for that, not the title.

This Tall Stone Ladle is a best representation of his delicate sensibility.

Packing: Tea towel pull bag in collector’s case

All Yixing teapots at Tea Hong are delivered with a pull-string towel sack in a collector box with cushions inside.
