  • Honey Pearl Pekoe, fresh jasmine scented green tea

Like a bunch of flowers in my mug

These delicate small beads smell like actual jasmine flowers and uncurl beautifully into tender young leaf buds in my mug!

  • Iron Buddha Supreme, Wuyi yancha oolong

One of my favorite yan cha right now

This tea is a very nice yan cha. It has a good presence of yan yun with a good smokey high fired wuyi fragrance with woodsy tones. The infusion taste is very refreshing as an initial taste, while giving you a sweet after taste that lingers in your mouth. It makes the back of my tongue water, and has nice hui gan. I really like it.

  • GABA Orange Extra, de-oxygenised oxidation Taiwan oolong

Brief (few seconds) steeps in 90 Celcius water.
Liquor is a clear golden brown in visual.
Taste is of a sweet smoke in aroma with a sweet spice aftertaste.
If you let it cool down a bit, the sweet aftertaste is more pronounced.
A slight dryness to the mouthfeel.
Empty cup leaves an aromatic sweet smell of burnt sugar.
Wet leaves are brown-black in tone, giving off a dark baked bread aroma.
This tea withstands so many steeps, and I think bold enough in flavour to be made into iced tea.

  • Wenshan Paochong, light style Taiwan oolong

Thank you for sharing your experience. As a general guidance, it is not desirable to infuse tea using 15 seconds unless the leaves are quite broken or cut. To understand the taste profile of most green style Taiwan oolongs such as Paochong, which are generally more delicate, 5 g to 150 ml water for 40 seconds is a good starting point. Adjust to personal taste. Use near boiling water, as suggested in the infusion tips. • Danhu Old Bush Song Cultivar, Phoenix dancong oolong

I bought 1kg of Huang Zhi Xiang in Chau Zhou at 5000 RMB/ jin so it is more expensive tea than this Danhu tea. I did tasting comparison with friends. This tea wins without doubt. Drink it quietly. This tea transcending with most wonderful tastes and scents.
