  • Red Jade, Taiwan TTES#18 black tea

Again, glad you have enjoyed this tea. It is indeed one of my favourite black teas and not too many people have even heard about it. For your high sensitivity in taste, if you venture into the arena of a longer steep you will find even more wonders in this gem of Taiwan.

  • Eight Immortals Wudong, Phoenix dancong oolong

    Good humble smell

Very comfortable good smell. Not too much like fragrant flower. Humble like good Confucius teaching. Long lasting and good class taste. This tea make me happy.

  • Red Cloak Grande, Wuyi yancha oolong

    Wasn’t impressed with 2012 version

I truly expected more from this yancha after trying your fabulous Sacred Lily. I feel like the mineral rock taste of this one is a bit lacking compared to Sacred Lily. Perhaps it’s because the roast here seems to me a little overdone as the leaves struggle to open up even when using 99c water, high pour with yixing teapot.

  • Huangshan Cuiyu, maofeng green tea

    lively taste

I did not notice this tea until last week so I ordered it for this seemed a better value alternative than the “spring equinox” version. I got it today and have been drinking it whole day. Not tired of it at all! Surprising good and refreshing and lively taste for the price. Good companion when you have to sit at the desk all day for piles of numbers to go through like me 🙁

  • Red Plum Classic, traditional black tea

Shows what teahong is capable of

This red tea doesnt explode with “fragrance”, but instead has this soft, gentle notes of plum. There is little sourness as you might get in other red teas, but a sweet aftertaste that creates a moisture in your mouth. A new hongcha favourite
